Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We (Hannah Tritton, and Louise and Christopher Theobald) are doing a 3 day sponsored walk around the 69mile Coastline of the Isle of Wight. We shall start in Ryde on Saturday 25th September and stop at Yarmouth that evening and Niton/ Chale on Sunday night, finishing back at Ryde on Monday 26th.
We are raising money for the Solent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre based in Northend, Portsmouth. The Centre is a registered charity (No.299545), established in 1984, as part of a network of therapy Centres throughout the UK, and is a member of the National MS Therapy Centres. The Centre offers therapies specifically chosen to ease the symptoms of MS, and to help people cope better with their daily lives. The centre is totally self-funding, and aside from the two permanent staff, is run with the help of volunteers. In order to to remain fully functional, it relies on donations and regular fund-raising activities.Our inspiration comes from our friendships with 2 ladies who suffer with MS, Elaine Pearce and Karen Grey. Karen's husband, Ian, is the Chairman of the Centre’s Committee. It is tremendously humbling to see how patiently these ladies cope with their many symptoms of MS; both these courageous women, as well as their families/ carers, truly deserve the very best treatment and support the Centre has to offer.
