Handelsbankers from around the world have embarked on a challenge to walk 10,000 steps a day for 80 days.

I recently attended the Launch of Lewis-Manning’s Time to Care Appeal and was greatly impressed by the work that they do. They are raising £2.5m to build a new state of the art 12 bed in patient unit in those fantastic grounds.

We thought we would link our challenge to get fit to this very worth while cause.

We are all wearing pedometers and are off to a great start, but it’s not easy. We will cover 800,000 steps in the 80 days, equivalent to 700 km- or put it another way just under 10km per day every day for 80 days.

Overall the team will achieve 4 million steps or 3,500 km between us, before Christmas.

So please help us raise plenty of cash for Lewis-Manning 1p a step would be good! Or even 1p a km would do!
