I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September and as everyone is aware I am not in the best shape as I've ever been so this will be extremely hard work for me - although I am planning to do some much needed training to reach the summit!

I am doing this to raise money for cancer although I am climbing with the New Victoria Medical Foundation's team as some of you already know I have lost loved ones to the disease and a few people close to me have had near misses, one in particular, Joanne Matthews, my mother-in-law who has just made a good recovery. This is the reason I am choosing to donate the money i raise to the Royal Marsden Hospital who play a big part in helping people through these traumatic times as the largest cancer care hospital in the UK.
