Every 5 minutes, someone dies from heart diseases in the UK. We need to tackle this problem head on, and we need to start today. Your donations will fund lifesaving medical research to find new treatments and cures. We need your help, until there are no more deaths from heart diseases.

Story

Heart Research UK is a cause very close to us. Our company (Emerald Group) and Heart Research UK celebrate their 50th anniversaries this year.

Our fundraising target for 2017 is is £50k! We hope that this event in total will raise a significant portion of the target.

Emerald Group have kindly agreed to allow staff to take part in the event and to cover the cost of hosting the event with our event guides Alfresco Adventures.

For any of you who know me I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing as I wouldn't normally consider myself fit enough. This is a massive challenge for me personally and any support I get from my friends, family and business contacts is really appreciated.

I'm determined to finish the event and I WILL BE DOING ALL 3 PEAKS which consist of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside & Inglebrough which will be approx 24.5 miles and take around 10-12 hours!

My director (Simon Cox) kindly volunteered me to put on the event for staff and business partners to take part in so in addition to actually doing it I'm organising it too - with some help from others too!

If you would like to take part and join us please get in touch with me as there may be some spaces available for you to take part. If not please do sponsor me if you can. I really appreciate you taking the time to support me, Emerald and the great work that Heart Research UK do.

Thank you!
