For those of you who do not know us that well our Mum, Desley, was diagnosed with the little known disease multiple myeloma in 2005.  Myeloma is a cancer of the bone marrow a bit like leukaemia.

Unfortunately there is no cure for myeloma and it is a little talked about disease.  Myeloma UK are working to reverse this situation by trying to raise the profile of the disease and support research into better treatments for it. 

Paloma and I are running the Great North Run this year to raise money for Myeloma UK.  We would be grateful if you would dig deep into your pockets to help us in our efforts to raise money for a charity that has been extremely supportive of our family over the last 18 months.
