Hi,

I'm Dominic from the Ashburton Cookery School - thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On June 29, 2012, I will be cycling from London to Paris in 3 days in support of the charity Hospitality Action.  The journey of 270 miles is usually completed over 4 or 5 days, but we are going to do 90 miles a day for 3 days.

Needless to say this will be quite a challenge for me - I am not any kind of pro-cyclist - I'm just an average 42 year old desk jockey who cycles around 15 miles to work every other day. I am training hard and everything is going to plan.

The reasons I have been inspired to undertake this challenge are:

1) this is a great personal challenge for me to complete;
2) it's in support of Hospitality Action, which is a great cause.

"Like most people I have always been on the receiving end of the care, service and hard work of those people in the hospitality industry - be it at hotels, restaurants or pubs.  Over the last 5 years through the cookery school have I managed to get a glimpse of the levels of hard work and commitment from people in this industry.  It's only right that when they need support, care or advice, that they have somewhere to turn.  Hospitality Action provides this support and your donation will raise vital funds to support them."
