UPDATE
I did my Sky Dive yesterday (27/01/07) I was really nervous and scared and all the waiting was making it worse just wanted to get it over and done with. My name got called to go get my jump suit on, my legs were shaking like mad!! I met my Instructor, Billy and my Camera Man that was filming me. There were both really nice and went through all my training I had done that morning just to refresh my memory (thank God!)
I looked like a right plonker as u can see from the pic! :o) Got in the plane and off we went! My Instructor had a watch on of how many thousand feet up we were, I remember him showing me it at 3 thousand feet and I looked down and thought "OMG this is ONLY 3,000!!!! & I'm going 14,000!!!!)
We were getting higher and higher I couldn't believe I was actuallly going to do! He started attaching everything on me to him ready for us to jump when the doors opened.
We reached 14,000 and the opened the door, it was blowing a gale couldnt hear a thing. I had to sit on the edge of the plane and get my legs right under it then next thing I knew I was free falling through the air at 120mph!!!!! The clouds were miles away, couldn't believe how high we actually were. The wind force was so strong but it was totally amazing just freefalling through the air as though I could fly - wow!!! WHAT an experience!!!
At 5,000 feet the parachute opened and we just suddenly slowed right down and it was so quiet after all that noise, the views were amazing over the UK and I had a bit of a mess around with the Parachute before coming in to land.
Landing wasn't great but weren't too bad :o) Didn't quite fall on my head - nearly though!!!! haha!!!!
Still can't believe I did it but I DID!!!!!!! Was such an indescribable feeling, where you can check out the view, feel the rush of air and savour the excitement! ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! Everyone should try it!!!!
My Mum was really proud of me which made me feel great. I will never ever forget the experience I had yesterday...

THE JUMP:
I have volunteered to take part in a 14,000 ft sponsored skydive event, in aid of the Huntington's Disease Association. Technically the jump is called a "Tandem Skydive". It is a skydive because I will be freefalling through the air at 120 mph for several feet; it is in Tandem because I will be harnessed to a professional parachute instructor. (wasn't brave enough to do it alone just yet!!!)
WHAT IS HUNTINGTON'S DISEASE? (HD)
HD was first described in medical literature in 1872 by Dr. George Huntington, a physician from Long Island, New York. The disease affects men and women alike, occuring at a rate of about one in every 10,000 in most Western Countries.
HD slowly diminishes the affected individual's ability to walk, think, talk & reason. Eventually, the person with HD becomes totally dependant upon loved ones for his or her care, which makes the number of lives touched by the disease even greater.
HD is a devasting brain disorder for which there is, at present, no effective treatment or cure.
Seeing someone you love slowly fading away is very painful.
Please sponsor me now! I have set a target for £1000, I have sponsor forms going around my work, family and close friends that I see on a regular basis. (Look under: Amount raised offline)
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Huntington's Disease Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support!

PS: I will get pics!
