Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am taking part in a cycle ride from London to Paris, setting off on September 1st 2009 raising money for Julia's House Childrens Hospice where my brother Patrick attends. 

Julia's House is an amazing charity that offer support and respite care for families with children who have life limiting and life threaghtening conditions.  My brother Patrick is 2yrs old and is brain damaged with severe epilepsy, he regularly attends Julia's House for toddler groups and pre-school sessions, it's the only place like it in Dorset where we can leave him with specially trained carers and nurses who understand the special needs of all the very special children.  Julia's House also provide respite at home with a carer that will look after Patrick for a few hours a week so my Dad and Step-mum can have a well needed break.  
As well as all that Julia's House organise fun days and events like Dad's and Lads evenings where Dads can get together and share their experiences and have a bit of fun, all siblings are looked after as well with special days out and sibling clubs where they are given special support and encouraged to talk about their feelings and meet other boys and girls that have special brothers or sisters.  Julia's House really is a special place that can only go on doing the fantastic work that they do if mad people like me do crazy stunts like this! 

Please please give all you can, every penny really counts.  I will of course be doing lots of fundraising of my own, including car-boots and even giving up smoking!  If anyone has anything they want to get rid of that I might be able to sell at one of my sales that would be appreciated too.  I can't take part if I don't reach my target and I am really looking forward to taking part in this life-enhancing trip.
