2010 Asics British 10K London Run · 11 July 2010 ·

Acid violence is a particularly vicious form of premeditated violence, where acid is thrown usually at the face to disfigure, maim and blind, but not to kill. We provide medical expertise and training to 6 partner organisations, raise valuable funds to support survivors and help to change laws.

Story

Hi Guys

I'v decided to runt he British 10K run to help to raise awareness for the Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI), the only organisation in the world dedicated to rehabilitating survivors of acid and burns violence on an International level.

This is the first such run i will be doing (lets hope not the last!), and as many of you will know, i dont exactly fit the profile of a traditional long distance runner, but il give it a good go! If any of you would like to see a return on your donation, pls feel free to visit me at the finish line, to see what a man struggling for his last gasps of oxygen will look like...,before proceeding to the pub to "rehydrate" myself!! ;o)

Its a really worthwhile charity, and i would be grateful if you could donate any little you can spare towards this cause.

Thanks for your support

Ashok
