Is there a direct inverse relationship between brain and brawn? Studies have shown as one becomes more intelligent, the weaker they become in terms of physical strength. The actuarial team atAspen want to test whether the opposite is true – Does an increase in physical strength hinder one’s intelligence?
On October 10th, the Actuarial team plan to complete 2 Ironman triathlons at the Marriott gym. The triathlon is made up of 5km of swimming, 100km of cycling and a marathon to finish it off. The actuaries are broken up into those who are qualified and those that can’t be bothered. The qualified team consist of PaulK, PaulL, PaulF (is there an actuarial trend here?), Richard, Nita, Shamara, Daniel and Nav (is he qualified?!?!). The other team consist of MarcusC, MarcusF, Bal , William, Cat, Chris, Robert, and Showvanik.
So next time you pass by your actuarial colleagues, show your support and take note of the impressive body sculpting. Let’s hope thatAspen’s business will not suffer as a result of this challenge.
