April 2009, four days, five countries, two thousand miles and a big white car with Ghostbusters stickers all over it!

Hi everyone, thanks for checking out our page.  This is going to be our fourth consecutive run with the Scumball 3000 road rally, recently re-branded as the “Scumrun”.  Its a bit like the film Cannonball Run, an entry list of about 100 vehicles, stopping at campsites each night, tear across Europe trying to win the Spirit of the Scumrun 2009.

Similar to the Gumball rally, it is limited by one of two rules, firstly the cars must not cost more than 500 pounds and you must turn up on the start line with no less than 500 pounds in sponsorship money for the rally's nominated charity. In previous years, we have raised over 2000 pounds for the likes of the Sussex Snowdrop Trust, Winston's Wish and Whizzkidz and we are hoping to boost that even further for this years charity; CHASE hospice care for children.

Over the years our cars have become more and more outlandish, but this year we have gone all out and secured an ex police Volvo 850 T5 with a full years MOT for 500 pounds exactly! Last year we went for a Back to the Future theme and managed to secure the "Best Dressed Scum" award at the end of the rally. This year, we are going for the Ghostbusters look and are currently in the process of transforming the car into ECTO 1!

We are going to sell sticker space on it again as per usual.  For a £20 donation you can place your logo on our car which will then be driven right across Europe in April.  We can manufacture the logo for you, all we need is the design.  Larger donations will secure larger logos and location preferences, but these are negotiable.  Your logos will also be duplicated on either side of the car.  In any case the important thing is that your donation will go to a very worthy cause, not to mention gain your chosen logo valuable publicity through Fast Car magazine and the Men and Motors digital TV channel.

Donating through this site is simple and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: CHASE gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

If you would like to send us your logo we would ask that your minimum donation is £20.  If you're not bothered about the logo, then anything you can donate is greatly appreciated.
