On Sunday 5th October I will be running the Great North Run, 3 weeks later I will be running the Great South Run.

Many of you that know me well know I am into my gym but signing up for this ridiculous feat is frankly an act of stupidity even I am left reeling at!

Still, as you would expect I am doing it for a good cause (see below) which will make it all feel worth it (although perhaps not until after it's over!)

So if I could please ask you all to share just a little of my pain by sponsoring me I would be very grateful.

And if that isn't enough to encourage you to part with your cold hard cash how about ritual humiliation?!

See opposite real photographic evidence both of the more youthful years of my running career and of the fact that no parent should ever be allowed to cut their own child's hair! Infact forget the hair get a load of those shorts!
