Firstly, Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
Mike and Simon have took part in the `2009 Woodvale Atlantic Ocean Row`.
Well...... we did it. After 76 days at sea, rowing alternatively 2hrs on and 2hrs off, we arrived to a wonderful reception of friends and family in English Harbour, Antigua.
We never thought it would be easy, and it definately was`nt. during the crossing we faced 60ft waves, horrendous storms, constant sleep deprivation, countless electrical problems and of course having to come to terms with psychological and physiological issues that jeopardised our ability to continue.
We fought through it all to succeed.
We saw some fantastic sights, like the wonderful wildlife that would regularily visit us, from whales, dolphins and even sharks.!!!!! amazing light shows at night, created by shooting stars and constant phosflourescence.
Now that we are back, we hope to provide inspiration to our local communities and, inparticular to the younger members, so they can see that with a little determination and will power, maybe even a little pain, any thing really is possible.
We also hope to substantially raise our fund raising through the continued publicity of local media and support of our sponsors.
