Story

Thank you for visiting the donation page in memory of Audrey Joyce Smith who passed away peacefully on 12th September 2008 after a long battle with Myotonic Dystrophy.

Audrey was a much loved Mother, Grandmother, Sister Cousin and Aunt and her energy, enthusiasm and generosity towards others will be missed by us all.

Audrey's son - Christopher - will be taking part in the Kinabalu challenge in February 2009. This is a rigorous and testing ten day trek through the jungle of Borneo culminating in a climb up the 4100 metre Mount Kinabalu. For more information, see link below.

Chris and the team - consisting of  Louisa Naylor, Chris Howard and Graeme Brouder - are all training hard in preparation for the trek. As a team, along with chief fundraiser Isobel Clift, they have decided to dedicate this trip to Audrey's honour and raise money in the cause of Muscular Dystrophy.

Please note that all of the donations received will be going directly to Muscular Dystrophy Campaign with no funds used for the Kinabalu challenge.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Muscular Dystrophy Campaign gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
