Aussie Channel Challenge by Team Budgy · 12 April 2006

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Aussie Channel Challenge by Team Budgy.

By the time your mid-thirties arrive, the list of ambitions harboured as a

10 year old tends to have faded from view.   Winning Wimbledon is no

longer a viable option.  Fortunately, this means there is space for another

obvious project - swimming the English Channel.   Swimming the English

Channel doesn't need anything apart from a good dose of enthusiasm and

heaps of training, although being able to swim helps quite a lot.

Which is why we have decided to swim the English Channel in July of 2006, as members of a three man relay team called “Team Budgy”, for charity.

We'll be donating to a UK and Australian Charity and have chosen The Princes Trust for the UK. Clearly a project like this goes nowhere without the generous support of you and every single person you know!

Thank-you for your donation and please tell everyone you know who may be interested in supporting our swim.

Thanks again - Team Budgy - Adam, Angus and Andrew
