Albert passed away peacefully at 9:50am on Monday July 12th after a 12 month battle with cancer, aged 78 years.

Albert taught in Ghana from 1958-62 and fell in love with the continent, a passion he passed on to his son Simon, who set up the charity Excellent Development in 2002.  Having supported the ground work and creation of Excellent from as far back as 1984, we are asking for donations in his memory and/or in lieu of flowers.

The charity has gone from strength to strength, winning the Third Sector's 'Small Charity, Big Achiever' award in 2009 and the Charity Awards in 2008 - an event that Albert proudly attended as shown in the photo.
