HME, Hereditary Multiple Exostoses is usually, but not always, an inherited condition which produces bony lumps close to the end of any bone. The Support Group was founded in 1997 to offer support to families affected by HME & to link families in similar situations & locations around the UK.

David's son was diagnosed with Hereditary Multiple Exostosis  (HME) aged 5 in 1994.  The geneticists have confirmed that this was caused by David's exposure to radiation to Chenobyl.  David's son has found the whole experience very difficult in his life, however with loads of support, not least of which from the HME Support Group, he is now completing his second year at the Manchester School of Law.  This fundraising page is a thank you to the group and to raise some much needed funds to continue their work.

Police and partnership colleagues are also invited to join Dave for a drink at the Chainlocker, Falmouth on Friday, 24th August 2012 from 5.00 pm.  The organiser is PC Nigel Hyde, there will be no collection for a leaving present but Dave invites you to make any donations to his charity either online or bring cash on the night.
