My mum got sick in 2004. She was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer. It was the worst news I could get. 

I will never forget the day when I came to visit her. My mum hugged me like she was about to leave for a long time. 

I didn’t know it was the first good bye, but I knew when it was the last one. Last year I had a dream. My mum was sitting next to me and she said: “I’m dying”. She passed away four days later. After 7 years, over 90 sesions of chemo, multiple blood transfusions and 2 really painful last months, she lost the fight with this terrible disease. 

One year ago, Emil Rydberg and I started the campaign to raise awarness about cancer in women’s lives.  We decided to start walking long distances and get other people involved. Together we created something we are really proud of. 

“Always keep going, never give up...” - this is what my mum used to tell me - “...always finish what you started and never make your goals easier.” With this in mind I decided to go for a bigger challenge. I’ll be walking alone 350km through wilderness of Scotland on one of the Britain’s toughest trails. I’ll walk 1km for every photo-message posted on the page. Together with Target Ovarian Cancer we will fight for women’s lives by uploading messages for mums. If this can raise awarness and help just one more woman in fight with cancer, I’ll be the happiest man on earth.
