Story
Hi,
Welcome to the Back to Back Coast Riders fundraising page!
We are a group of friends who are coming together at the end of June to take part in an extreme challenge that involves riding from Whitby to Seascale then Seascale back to Whitby the following day. Each leg is 150 miles with 4500 meters of ascent and will take us from the East coast of England to the West coast and back in 2 days.
The second leg will be ridden with the Open 5 Coast to Coast in a Day Sportive.

The idea behind the challenge was to create a focus for our training this year and to raise as much money as possible for a great cause. We are aiming to raise £5000!
We have decided to support two charities: Macmillan Cancer Support and Help for Heroes.
The Macmillan Cancer support team do a fantastic job working with people with a disease that has or is affecting a number of our teams close relatives. We want to raise awareness of the work they do to help those suffering and their families.
The Help for Heroes charity supports an organisation called Battle Back who aim to help wounded servicemen and women return to sport through challenges, events and adventure training.
We have been inspired by their work and the stories of some of the amazing people they have helped to achieve incredible feats in face of unbelievable adversity.

We hope we can help to create more opportunities for the Battle Back team and show our support for the brilliant work they do.
The goal of our ride is to complete the Coast to Coast and back together as a team in 20 hours which will require an average speed of around 15mph.
Please donate what you can and show your support as we take on the biggest challenge that we have ever had to face.
Use the bmycharity page to donate to Help for Heroes and the JustGiving site to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Donating through these pages is simple, quick and secure. It is the most efficient way to give – so every donation goes further – and if you are a UK taxpayer and give Gift Aid consent you will boost your donation.
Thank you for your support.
