My story

WE MADE IT!!!! A HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED. PLEASE KEEP IT COMING!

The money raised is going to a fantastic cause.

We are truly blown away by the generosity shown and it will be fantastic motivation during those difficult miles.

It has been a tough 18 months since Dad's diagnosis and we are doing this for him as much as anything else! LOVE YOU OLD MAN!!!

BRING ON SUNDAY!

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

If you've got to this page you're aware that Matthew and I are running this years London marathon to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer.  We're running in support of our Dad, Bruce Badcock, whom is thankfully now well on his way to recovering from prostate cancer, having been diagnosed in October 2007.

He's now making us run a marathon, and if that wasn't enough he's expecting us to raise loads of cash!  Luckily, we're only too happy as the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation is a fantastic little charity and the work they do for prostate cancer research with the money they receive is simply immeasurable.  It really is a great cause.

We therefore ask you to do 2 things:

1. Pledge some money.  Anything you are able to will make a difference and will help the PCRF continue to achieve the outstanding work they currently do.

2. Visit the PCRF website www.thepcrf.org.uk and find out a bit more about the cancer (especially if you're a bloke!).  General awareness will do more for helping to eliminate suffering than anything else.

If you do the above, we'll fullfil the third part by running 26.2 miles each (we think you've got the better part of the deal).

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Prostate Cancer Research Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!   Thanks!
