I want you to take a moment and image a loved one has been diagnosed with a life threatening illness. They could be saved, if a donor can be found. Wouldn’t you want the donor registers to have the largest number of potential matches for your loved one.

Added on 23/NOV/2011 - I didn't get far back in 2009 being beat in my first match - click here to see the vid, But I am entering the English BJJ open 2011 on the 27/NOV/2011. Two years on and I'm still at it ;)

This is what The Anthony Nolan Trust does. It raises awareness and encourages us to join just such a register.

I filled out an application and figured the more people should know about this, and here is my plan.

Saturday (28/02/2008) & Sunday (01/03/2008) I shall be competing in the under 70kg white belt division at The Bristol Open. If you're wondering, BJJ stands for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

I want you to help me raise awareness & sponsor me. You can sponsor me on the number of matches I have (say £2 per match), or the number I win (say £5 per win), or motivate me further by pledging different amounts for taking bronze (£10), silver (£20) or gold (£30). Or just a fixed amount just for taking part. Every little helps.

In the last tournament I entered I didn’t win a medal and only had 4 matches (won 2), so it shouldn't cost you too much

I know times are hard financially, but it’s a great cause. Donate £1 for now, and write your pledge in the notes section. I’ll update this page and my blog (vids will be available) on Monday (02/03/2009) with my results.

I’ll also be entering the open division for white belts, which means I’ll be up against some really big guys (possible 100kg +).  If I’m gonna get crushed, I may as well raise some funds for a great charity.

Please visit The Anthoy Nolan Trust and see the great work they’re doing

Also visit badshah.net to be updated on how I’m doing.

Here's a vid of me losing the bronze in my last tourny

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Anthony Nolan Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
