Thank-you to everyone. I made it!
When I initially said "You pay to cripple me", I wasn't entirely intending on it becoming a reality. But Sunday was quite possibly the most painful voluntary 4 and a half hours of my life that's left me waking up in the morning wondering how I'm going to get down the stairs. My left knee is swollen, and my right leg is a general right off from having to carry the other one from 2 to 10 miles before a special cocktail of painkillers kicked in. So if my limp looks fake through lack of consistency I apologise, but it's because I haven't got a f***ing clue which leg to limp on. Having said that, Sunday was a very special day, super sweet in fact. The crowd, along with some of you guys, were relentlessly encouraging. I found if you run near the barriers it's more of a 26.2 mile long pick n' mix stall than a marathon.
Myself and my mobile pharmacy (Dad) finished just behind Paula Radcliffe in a time of 4:28:05. For all those wondering, yes I did smoke a cigarette... whilst running past the 19 mile marker.
So once again, to one and all, thank-you.
