We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Two Burton Albion Ladies players sadly lost a parent each due to cancer. Jean Sutton in January 2015 after a 3 year battle and Tim Ablott in January 2016 after a 2 year battle. Both Jean and Tim fully supported the girls and BALFC and as a team we want to help support all those who are affected by cancer. A number of other players and staff within the club have lost or suffered cancer within a loved one or person they know.
1 in 2 people will get cancer at some point in their lives and near enough everyone is affected by it in some way.
We will be doing various fundraising events throughout our 2017/18 season and all of the proceeds raised will go to Cancer Research UK as cancer is such a devastating disease with no definite cure. Hopefully the money we raise will help and one day we will find a cure.
