Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Over the last six years, we have cycled from Galway on the west coast of Ireland, to Ljubljana the Capital of Slovenia. This has taken us via Dublin, Cardiff, Paris, Monte Carlo and Rome. We have had some amazing adventures and met some incredible people.
During the week commencing 11th May, we will be completing the next leg of our journey by riding from Ljubljana to Dubrovnik, via Zagreb, Banja Luka, Sarajevo and Mostar. This will see us cross from Slovenia to Croatia and on into Bosnia, before return to the southern tip of Croatia to Fly home. It is a 500 mile challenge and will take us just 5 days. The toughest of these is likely to be day 3 - Banja Luka to Sarajevo, which is looking like a 128 mile day with a non stop 20 mile climb thrown in for good measure! Our ride is completely unassisted, which means we carry every ounce of kit we will need for the week, from spare pants to spare tubes and everything in between!
We recently lost a close friend to Lymphoma and as a 16 year old I survived Leukaemia, these life changing events have been our inspiration to take on such a major project. We plan to cycle unassisted through every EU country by completing week long 500 mile rides every year. To date, we have raised over £16,000 for this awesome charity and have visited 7 countries along the way.
Please help us raise the much needed funds that LRF use to save lives.
