Story

Starting on Friday 8th July Chris and Rick Ball will be setting out to walk from Chris' home in Harrogate to our family home in Lytham St. Annes....a journey of 70miles. We will be crossing the Pennines via the A59, over the notorious Blubberhouses and via Skipton, Clitheroe and Preston towards the Fylde coast.

The challenge: To complete this without stopping, hopefully within 24 hours!

We are hoping to raise £2500 for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research in memory of our Mum, Coral Ball, who died at Christmas 2008 from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

We will be working in the coming months making sure our feet are toughened, our minds sharpened and that we can stay awake in each others company for 24 hours without falling out!!

Battling Leukaemia in the UK costs over £20Million every year so please give generously to this fantastic cause.

We hope to arrive in Lytham at c.9am on Saturday 9th July. Anyone who wants to meet us and bring with them a large plate of bacon butties and a pint or two will be more than welcome, though we may be asleep by 9.30am!

15th June Update :-

Can't believe we have got to £1000 already...thank you so much to everyone who has donated we're really pleased!!
