So it was nearly 5 minutes OVER my 2:08 target..but it was incredibly HOT and sunny, a great day for spectators and picnics, not so good for the athletes..!  NEXT YEAR I plan to train without the donuts and rock cakes, and actually might take the bike out for some training spins!

It was also good to be in the race with my old college mates, Dave & Roger, so it was "motivational? :-) to have the additional encouragement of "come on lard arse", "Dave I've lapped you again"..and an old favourite..."I've just wee'ed on your leg" to keep me going...hey at least I beat them on the transition times!
