Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The plucky mascot of a Staffordshire-based children’s charity is in training for the biggest mascot race of the year and hopes to bring a national trophy back to the county.
Bananas the monkey is the cheeky mascot of Stoke-based charity, Caudwell Children, and now one of the 150 contestants battling it out in next week’s Mascot Grand National at Huntingdon Racecourse in Cambridgeshire.
Everything from an oversized ant to a comedy crocodile will be lining up to race for the title of UK’s Fastest Mascot and to be showered in the glory of beating the country’s best in a 220 yard hurdle dash.
As well as racing for glory Bananas is also raising money for his charity, Caudwell Children who provide donations of equipment, treatment and therapy for sick and disabled children.
