We are a team of Health care professionals who offer short term rehabilitation and re-enablement in the community.  We are taking part in this event to raise awareness of the Oxford Cancer and Haematology Centre based at the John Radcliffe Hospital. 

In the new
state-of-the-art Cancer and Haematology Centre, patients
receive the best possible care in a setting that stimulates
healing and cutting-edge developments.
The new centre:
■ allows us to create the service around patient needs,
for example by scheduling related clinics together to
minimise the need for repeat visits;
■ has 217 patients beds, 10 theatres and an intensive care
unit dedicated for cancer patients;
■ minimises distress to patients and families with
enhanced gardens, day rooms and family facilities;
■ enhances research with our partners Oxford University
and Cancer Research UK to bring new treatments to
patients as quickly as possible.

Only 2 members of our team have abseiled previously so we are in essence a team of abseil virgins, some of which are very brave as they have a fear of heights.

WE DID IT, WELL DONE EVERYONE.  it was a great way to spent our Sunday morning even though we did get caught in the rain, well some of us did anyway!!
