Hi!
On 14th August, we are embarking on a Banger Run for Help for Heroes that we have organised ourselves in cars costing no more than £250 each. We are driving along a route that covers an ambitious 12 countries in 4 days, including the Nurburgring and Monaco GP circuits, mountainous roads through the Alps and leading up to Andorra at the end of the run, all going well! All accommodation will be self-provided tentage, I have designed the run to be fun but also extremely challenging. Ours will be the lead car for the event.
The basic itinerary will be:
Day 1 - 14 Aug 2010
Calais to Nurberg (approx 5h30) 357 miles, passing via Essen through France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany.
Overnight stop Nurburg.
Day 2 - 15 Aug 2010
Nurburgring.
Then Nurburg to Luxembourg (approx 2h) 96 miles
Luxembourg to Lichtenstein (approx 5h) 300 miles
(travelling through countries Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland and Lichtenstein.
Night stop nr Lichtenstein
Day 3 - 16 Aug 2010
Lichtenstein to Milan (approx 3h) 180 miles
Milan to Monaco (approx 3h) 190 miles (6 h avoiding toll roads)
(countries traversed Italy, Monaco)
Night Stop near Monaco (as near as we can find campsite-wise!)
Day 4 - 17 Aug 2010
Monaco Grand Prix circuit.
Monaco to Andorra (approx 7h30) 450 miles (11 h avoiding toll roads)
(countries traversed Spain, Andorra)
Run complete, return to England.
