Story

I'm Rose and along with my fellow The Missing Linc (Dan Nusl) I'm driving 3700 miles to Banjul, The Gambia!

The rally is officially titled the Plymouth - Banjul Challenge (http://www.plymouth-banjul.com/) however we will be starting in London then driving down through France and Spain, where we'll meet up with the rest of the challengers. Then we head south through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Senegal, arriving in Banjul in The Gambia.

The route travels mostly on tarmac roads, but the highlight is the two-day crossing of the Sahara Desert.

It is a treacherous journey at points and we will be having an armed convoy through Mauritania, which the Foreign Office has put the highest level of security threat on as Iraq or Afghanistan!!

But it's not all fun and games! Each of our team members are raising money for different charities, mine is ActionAid, which helps bring people out of poverty, HIV/AIDS prevention, famine relief, peace building and food and education in some of the poorest countries in the world (including The Gambia!)

Sponsorship would be much appreciated!
