Bank Leumi London to Brussels Bike Ride 2010 · 10 October 2010

ShelterBox work to ensure that vulnerable families around the world have life-saving emergency shelter, and other essential tools and aid items, after disaster strikes. Be it an earthquake, flood, conflict or hurricane, we are there for those most in need.

Story

Following the success of the London to Amsterdam Bike ride in 2009, the Bank has decided to participate in another ride this year. This year's bike ride will take place on 10th October  - 13th October 2010 and will take 20 staff from the Bank on a 300km journey from London to Brussels via Bruges.

The bike ride is an open charity event, which means that each participant is fund raising for their individual charity. To enable the Bank to make contributions to the team as a whole, we have decided to fund raise for Shelter Box.

Shelter Box is a charity that responds instantly to natural and manmade disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and essential equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. For more information please visit: http://www.shelterbox.org

Any money raised for Shelter Box will go straight to the charity, however the total figure raised will also go towards the team's £20,000 target.

Both the Bank Leumi Team and Shelter Box are greatful for any donations.
