Story
I cried when I found out that Sorrentino’s Compassion House had a room, for 31 days, for me. I didn’t have to worry about the wear and tear on my body by travelling every day, to and from the Cross Cancer, for my radiation treatments. I felt safe and saved at the same time.
And then I got to go home. What an adjustment from having daily appointments to nothing. The depression I had, intensified. And Sorrentino’s Compassion House was there for me, at this time. With post-treatment workshops and classes, I was able to slowly heal physically, mentally and spiritually.
I am grateful to Sorrentino’s Compassion House and hope that you will be able to help me, help someone else. Your donation is appreciated and has the power of changing someone’s life, like mine. With that said, as an extra sign of encouragement, I will create three works of art, for a draw, of all the donators. Any donation $25 or more will get a tax receipt. Give what you can.
Here’s some info about the walk: Walk Her Way 5K is a virtual run/walk fundraiser to raise $50,0000 for Compassion House Foundation, an Edmonton-based charity that supports women from across western Canada who must leave their homes for cancer care.Between May 13-16, I'm going to step into her shoes and Walk Her Way in a small journey to help ease the distress of the cancer journey for women. Help me reach my fundraising goal and support this worthwhile cause by clicking on the donate button. Your gift directly supports the hundreds of women devastated by cancer who access Compassion House Foundation each year, helping them find comfort, connection, and community during a time when they need it most.P.S. Any donation of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt. Thank you for the support!
