Thank you for visiting the Barbara Charlesworth Forget-Me-Not Fund for Leukaemia Research.
Mum liked to smile. She always had a smile on her face. Can you finish the quote under Mum’s photo? It should make you smile and my Mum laugh. Mum was a beautiful person with a happy heart. She always had time for people and she won the hearts of so many of them. Through her work at Wesley Chapel Harrogate, Inner Wheel, Royal Society of St George and Harrogate Ladies Probus Club, she cooked food, knitted, collected stuff, read to children at local schools, created receipe books, held dinner and garden parties to support charities. Always being at the center of all that is good.
Mum had an amazing array of wonderful friends - too many to count. I know that at Christmas she sent over 150 Christmas Cards alone. Dad was happy with that. "Keeps the post office in business", he would say.
Mum liked flowers. We thought it would be nice and make Mum smile if, whoever wishes to send Mum flowers, sends a symbolic flower instead, by donating to Leukaemia Research. You will see from their emblem opposite that that it is a flower. We chose this because of Mum’s illness. The work of the Leukaemia Research is helping many people to live and this was one of the charities Mum supported during her life.
Donating through this website - Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to help Leukaemia Research as the Fund gets your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
If you are not a UK taxpayer, please make your donation directly to the Leukaemia Research Fund at www.lrf.org.uk Please make sure you donate to “Forget me not fund” and state “Barbara Charlesworth”
Thank you for remembering Mum. She’s smiling at you right now!
Love Colin (husband), Robert (son) and Anthony Oliver (grandson).
