Story

What better way to round off the fundraising year than another barefoot mile! You might already know the story...I went to Kenya last year, saw the difference CAFOD supporters are making and decided to step up my fundraising efforts. So since the last Great North Run, I've ran the Blaydon Race barefoot (5.9 miles) Bad idea! Joined in CAFOD's Big Walk, 130 miles to Holy Island (with shoes and blisters) and now a last push to help those people in extreme poverty.

Some of the people I met in Kenya are really feeling the effects of the drought. Their cattle are thin or dying but further north, it's our brothers and sisters who are dying. With your help, we can help them to rebuild their herds, their lives and their futures.

That's the reason I'll be running barefoot on Sept 18th. I'll feel a little of their pain, if you'll help them out. Thanks for anything you can give.

Together, we'll make a difference.
