Barlow Robbins Cycle Team - Pedal to Paris 2011
From 1st to 4th September we are going to ride just under 300 miles from Greenwich Park London to The Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Our objective is to raise at least £4,000 to support the Royal British Legion in providing financial, social and emotional support to members of the armed forces and their dependants who have served their country and now need our help.
Many of us have family or friends who have been involved in the forces and this team is no exception: a wife’s grandfather who survived the Somme and whose uncle who was shot by the Japanese in Burma; a cousin who is a Major in the army and has served in Afghanistan and Iraq; an old client of the firm (long deceased) who was at the Battle of Jutland; and a former Partner of the firm who won the MC in the Second World War. Closer to home a member of the team has a son who is joining the army and going to Sandhurst in January.
To raise £4,000 we need your help. It’s a serious cause but we want to have fun doing it and you will be able to see how we are getting on by looking at our rogues gallery on www.barlowrobbins.com, Lycra and all!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. The Royal British Legion will receive your money faster and if you're a UK taxpayer 25% Gift Aid and a 3% supplement, will be added to your donation.
Please help us to help those who need our support.
