Fifteen months ago I fell from the sky like a wounded Icarus.
Thanks to the Surrey Air Ambulance, I survived the experience - battered, broken, and bruised; older but sadly little wiser.
So here's my bit to keep them flying...
The car you see on the left is a Fiat Coupe. There aren't many of them around, and I don't think there are any others that have had the same owner for fourteen years. It's original, unmolested, unturbo'd, untuned, unraced... and I've been challenged that it won't get up the famous Brooklands Test Hill without blowing up or needing a push.
We shall see...
On the 2nd of May, Brooklands will be visited by Fiat Coupes and sundry other Italian cars - you know, Ferraris, Maseratis, Lamborghinis and the like - and some of those cars will be attempting the hill.
I shall be one of them.
You are cordially invited to help me help the Air Ambulance by sponsoring me. As an added incentive, I shall match the first fifty quid raised.
These guys do important work and receive no direct funding. Please help!
Thanks,
Neil
Update 3rd May: Well, we made it. Not once, not twice, but four times - and we didn't even need a push!
Thanks to all who have contributed - and if you've just promised, so far, please make good on your promise!
