Story

We have set-up this page in memory of our beautiful baby boy:

Barney Thomas Nelson Stevens-Brewin

Born sleeping on 18th November 2006.

Thanks to the support of SANDS and the use of their dedicated room at Lincoln County Hospital it made a tragic day bearable and helped us to have a positive expericence at the birth of our son eventhough he never woke. In lieu of flowers for Barney's funeral a donation here no matter how small or large would help others to cope during such an awful time, along with research into the causes of such tragedies.

We are in the planning stages for a 150mile sponsored walk that Martin and Dave Stevens (Suzanne's Dad) will be looking to complete in June to coincide with the SANDS awareness month. We will be walking from our home in Carlton Scroop, Lincolnshire to Martin's office in Victoria, London. For more information please visit our walk site http://walking4barney.blogspot.com

We will be writing to every Local Newspaper, Radio & TV Station, company and business based en-route to maximise not only fundraising but most importantly awareness.

Oh and by the way, Martin only normally walks to the car!!!

If you, or someone you know can help us in anyway please contact us at  info@babybarney.org.uk Whether it is donations, practical assistance, bucket shaking en-route or even if it is only to come and wave as we wander past. All support is welcomed.

In memory of Barney and to help others who have suffered such a loss we are in the process of updating the web-site http://www.babybarney.org.uk to help raise awareness and provide support and advice to parents and family and friend to ensure that everyone involved gets the support and understanding they need.  Please check the site as we are updating it regularly and would love input and feedback

Many thanks for your support

Our Beautiful Barney

Barney, Our beautiful baby boy,

A tiny, perfect, bundle of joy

The eighteenth of November you were born,

From then until eternity we will mourn

You had Mummy’s big feet, and Daddy’s cute face,

Sweet little hands and brown hair a trace

The time we had with you was so very short,

But when you came, peace and serenity you brought

We kissed you, cuddled you and held you tight,

A naming and blessing, was a memorable night

Why, oh why did this happen to you,

The doctors unsure, they haven’t a clue

Your soul is in our hearts forever more,

You will never be forgotten, that is for sure

Saying goodbye is so very trying,

Our hearts are aching and we can’t stop crying

With all the other angels you will play,

Until we meet up with you again one day

All our love always

Mummy and Daddy
