Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm running 10 km (6.2 miles) for Special Effect's Game for Helen Project.

I've got crumbly old knees and haven't run that far for 20 years but it's such a great cause that I'm keen to raise what I can in support. Anything you can spare is massively appreciated and is going to a great cause that I support 100%.

UPDATE: I made my target of £250!!! Thank you all so much who have already donated. So should I keep the page up as is or adjust my target fund? I remember when Blue Peter made their fund-raising totals quicker than they imagined they would for kids sending in crisp-packets/ring-pulls. They stuck an extra bit on the top of their fund raising thermometer to raise the target cash. Well I don't want to do that as it felt like it was cheating as a 9-year old... All I will say is everything received over the total is still much needed and going to be very, very gratefully received by Special Effect and the kids and young adults at Helen and Douglas House. So in short, please do still give if you can!

UPDATE 2: Oh I crumbled - and updated the fundraising target to £400. You never know!

UPDATE 3: Made the second total. Thanks so much to all who donated. It's going to a really good cause.
