After a year of prevarication I have finally set a date for an End-to-End solo bike ride. The first question I'm asked is always 'What's the good cause you're doing it for?' - in other words no-one would want to do it for their own satisfaction. I won't try to justify myself, but I am asking you to support the Jacob Marsland Appeal. Jacob, a 5 year-old boy from Northwich, has neuroblastoma, a serious and aggressive form of cancer. I'm off on 26 June to enjoy the trip. Jacob's dad, Anthony, says 'It's a hell of a ride'. Well, maybe it is, but it's not as hellish as having a child with a potentially fatal condition. So - dig deep, folks, and help give Jacob a chance to beat his cancer.
