Hello,

I've once again decided to take part in the Great North Run and anyone who's seen me recently will probably agree that it's for the best - a few too many mince pies at Christmas, eggs at Easter and beers on the weekend have taken their toll on my (aherm) six pack.

As you may have now gotten a little bored of sponsoring me for half marathons (watch this space for my upcoming London Marathon [ballot permitting] page) I've decided to offer an additional incentive: If I raise over £500 I will shave my head for the race (that'll be about 18 months of continuous hair growth wasted...and may show a little too much of the dreaded receding hair line!).

If I raise more money I may even consider wearing a costume (suggestions welcome although diving suits will not be considered).

All money raised will go to Cancer Research UK and if you donate through this page there's no chance of me getting my grubby little hands on it.

P.S. Before anyone says anything – I know this is only a half marathon (congratulations to Lee and Daniel for completing the London Marathon this year) but unless you've done one of these yourselves I shall have my fingers firmly in my ears saying “nuh nuh nuh I'm not listening to you” so save it...
