On 1st April 2011, Gateway 97.8 will be hosting a Battle of the Bands competition in aid of St. Luke Hospice, Basildon.

This will be showcasing local bands from the area and have judges from local, partnership organisations.

The event will be held on 1st April at The Selex Sports and Leisure Centre in Basildon (formerly the Marconi club).
