Story

Hi All,

Why I'm doing it:

As some of you know I've been spending all year trying to lose weight and get fit. I'm getting there slowly, those of you who've ran with me can definitely agree with me there!!

So this year so far I've lost 44.5kg(98 pounds) and I can run... well I can run for longer than a few minutes!!

I want to celebrate the fact I can do these kind of events now while also challenging myself to do something I could not do last year even if I walked.. A Half Marathon. Training has started, I've a long way to go so here's hoping!

What I'm doing:

June 7th: Keep Your Eye On The Ball Run, Victoria Park, London. http://www.keepyoureyeontheball.org/  - DONE

July 8th: JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, Battersea Park, London - DONE

Sept 5th: Cormac Mc Anallen  Trust 10K, Eglish, Co. Tyrone - DONE

September 27th: Sony Ericsson Run to the Beat Half Marathon 2009!!  Done

Please please please help me in my support for the fantastic charity below!

The other reason I'm doing these is to give back to a worthy charity who are saving lives, including my brother, on a daily basis through their research and findings. ICR and Everyman, a campaign to cross out male cancer through research and awareness deserve supporting. I have made a target of £500 so please help and don't stop if it gets there!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Institute of Cancer Research & Everyman gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
