Scottish Huntington's Association supports families impacted by Huntington’s disease (HD). 800 people in Scotland have HD with a further 3200 at risk of developing it in the future. HD impacts the ability to walk, talk and swallow, can cause mental illness and affects mood, memory and mobility.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page. Beer Bellies on Bikes is a group of retired rugby players who undertake an annual 350 mile cycling challenge, over 4 days, across rural Scotland in aid of a nominated charity. We support causes which have personal significance to us. This year we are raising money on behalf of Scottish Huntington's Association and to provide direct support to our friend and former president of Hamilton Rugby Club who has become victim to this terrible disease.

Our tour this year will include our first 'international leg'. After travelling throughout Argyll & Bute, including the islands of Jura and Islay, we will cross to Northern Ireland for a cycle down its north east coast. As you'll see from our photos (when we post them) we are not natural cyclists so please give generously.
