Penaltyathon for the Teenage Cancer Trust · 15 May 2009

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

On the 6th June, Bristol City Korfball Club will be attempting a 12 Hour Penaltyathon to fundraise for Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Tom Walker.

Tom was a dear friend, a gentle giant, and a fantastic sportsman. On the 31st of March, 2009, Tom sadly lost his battle with cancer. Tom's family have chosen to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Every day in the UK, up to 6 teenagers or young adults (between the ages of 13 and 24) will find out they have cancer. The TCT works hard to help and support young people like Tom with their battle against cancer.

At this year's Bristol City summer tournament, we will be attempting to take (and who knows, even score) as many penalties as possible between the hours of 10am and 10pm non-stop to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Please, give what you can.

Thanks and we hope to see many of you there!
