Story
An intrepid peloton of 14 riders from BCL departs from Piccadilly on 24th May headed for Paris, 210 miles away. We are taking the route from London to Newhaven, over-nighting on the ferry to Dieppe, and then covering the 140 miles or so from Dieppe to Paris over the following two days.
Although we are expecting to have some fun and enjoy ourselves, the principal purpose of our trip is to raise money for charity. We are delighted to be doing the ride on behalf of The ELIFAR Foundation.
Most of those on the trip have received the presentation the charity makes to prospective donors, it is fair to say it has made a lasting impression on all of us. The acronym stands for EVERY LIFE IS FOR A REASON, it is a small charity run almost entirely by volunteers, which supports severely disabled children and their families. The entire trip is being funded by BCL and the participants, so anything you can give will go direct to the charity.
