Beachcroft's Annual Charity Walk in aid of RMHC · 22 August 2008

Ronald McDonald House UK helps families with children in hospital stay close by providing free accommodation just minutes from children’s hospital wards. Our Houses provide more than accommodation. We offer stability and emotional support that allow parents and carers to be active partners in care.

Story

Beachcroft's annual Charity Walk will this year be centred on Keswick in The Lakes, on Saturday 27 September 2008. The walk will be The Coledale Round, a 10 mile jaunt taking in Causey Pike, Sail, Eel Crags and Grisedale Pike.

You can find a description of the walk at: http://www.lakedistrictwalks.com/coleda.html

This year we will be raising money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC - http://www.rmhc.org.uk), an independent registered charity supporting families with children in hospital. The charity was established in the UK in 1989 and provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for the families of children requiring in-patient care in hospitals and hospices. Donations help RMHC to continue to do their valuable work in nearly 40 hospitals across the UK providing over 300 bedrooms a night for families to stay in. Please give generously to support this worthy cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor our walkers: RMHC - Ronald McDonald House Charities gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

If you're sponsoring a specific person, please use the comments box to state their name so that they can keep track of how much money they have raised individually.
