A pound a mile is what we want.

You've probably sponsored someone that for a marathon and if it is good enough for them, it will be good enough for us too. 

Although, given a marathon is only 26 miles and we're doing about 1400 miles as we head to the south pole and back, you'd be being a bit stingy if you didn't donate at least that.

So you know the drill - get your card out, punch in those digits, put in a bigger donation than you were originally going to and then bask in that all round feeling of goodness.
