Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be.

Story

Bearfoot - Children Helping Children is an initiative which has been established with two goals: to raise money for worthwhile children's charities and also, to sow the seeds of social responsibility in the minds of our children and engage them in fundraising activities to help those less fortunate than themselves.

In light of the current refugee crisis and with Cyprus' proximity to Syria, the first Bearfoot fundraising event will raise money for Save the Children's - Child Refugee Crisis Appeal. The event is being organised solely by volunteers and 100% of the money raised will be donated to Save the Children.

The sponsored Teddy Bear Walk will take place in Limassol from PlusSea Lifestyle Bar along the beach promenade to St Raphael Resort at 11am on Sunday 15th November, followed by an after-party at St Raphael Resort. Children across Cyprus will be invited to choose one of their teddy bears to accompany them on their walk and will offer their teddy bears as a donation to refugee children here in Cyprus and in Greece.

The walk participants and the wider public are then invited to join us at the after-party at the St Raphael. The entertainment schedule will include a key note speech, music/dance, a raffle draw and tombola and presentation of cheques by corporate sponsors as well as numerous children's activities taking place around the central entertainment stage.
