Hello all!!!

I'm running my first marathon in April...as I'm sure you know its 26.2 miles.

I first started running when my mum said she was fitter than me...I was determined to prove her wrong! In October 2008 I completed the O2 Run to the Beat Half-marathon, finishing just ahead of my mum!

As a student nurse I have spent some time on oncology wards and decided that I wanted to raise money for a cancer related charity. The charity for which I'm running is the Elimination of Leukaemia Fund (ELF). They raise funds to advance the treatment and cure of leukaemia and related blood cancers. I am committed to raising £1500. Any sponsorship, however small, would be very much appreciated.

I'm starting my training now to gradually build up my distance and in order to train most effectively im going to try not to drink or smoke for the next 4 months!!!
