Story
On Sunday June 8th, 2008 whilst the sane amongst you are in bed with the papers, coffee and croissants, I shall be pounding the streets of Warwickshire on what I am assured is 'a slow uphill run' from Warwick Castle to Kenilworth Castle.
My mission is to raise money for Diabetes Uk, my inspiration is my son, Zac, recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, injecting insulin 5 times a day as a minimum and blood testing every few hours throughout the day and evening. Diabetes UK research helps to make the lives of diabetics more comfortable and their research gives diabetics and their families hope for the future.
Zac has inspired me to get off the couch and get running and I will complete this run whatever the weather and regardless of how soon my jelly legs give out and I have to be dragged slowly towards the finishing line! I aim to finish the same day, but within a couple of hours would be brilliant! Maybe supporters could help by dangling a picture of Johnny Depp in his pirates gear just out of my reach for 10k.

Those of you who have seen me bounding around Christleton will know that I managed to complete the race in 1 hour, 5 minutes, despite the searing heat and hills. Zac, Lawrence and myself ran across the finishing line together. Thank you to everyone for your support. :)
